An obsessive maker since early childhood, I’ve been motivated to make things from scratch, in most areas of my life, for as long as I can remember.

I began working under the mentorship of master potter Jonathan Hook in his ceramics studio near Denmark, Western Australia, in early 2021.

​

My work is influenced by the rugged natural landscapes I’m immersed in each day. Patterns of light on the ocean floor. Earthy colours in the distant hills. Textures of bark and granite in the forest on our farm where I walk each day.

​

Spending my days at the pottery wheel challenges and excites me. I am drawn to working with the natural elements of earth, water and fire, and the endless possibilities they provide. 

 

​My focus is to create beautiful, functional pieces for everyday use.
